Occasionally I'll have extra virgin olive oil. I've not felt so healthy in ten years. Especially after 7 years on the vegan diet, which brought me to the edge dying. I've reversed pre-diabetes and auto-immune disorders, and restored my vision and stopped my hair loss. All this fat consumption has resulted in my losing all my visceral fat! This video presents a thought-provoking perspective on saturated fat that challenges everything we've been taught. It’s fascinating to consider that what we’ve believed about fat and cholesterol for decades could be not only wrong, but potentially harmful to our health. The connection between brain function, inflammation, and fat intake was especially eye-opening. Could it be that the real culprit behind disease is processed oils and carbohydrates, not natural fats? Thanks for shedding light on this subject and making us rethink our understanding of nutrition!

I eat animal based, 60% protein, 30% fat and only 10% carbs but only from certain vegetables. I feel so good, I don't remember the last time I felt like this. All my metabolic rate improved by a lot. Blood pressure dropped from 130/68 to 108/57 in general. My cardio improved drastically, my sleep is optimal, better mood, better energy and list goes on. I was eating 100% real food, no junk food before I switched but I cut all grains, starchy vegetables and almost all fruits (except berries). I also cut all nuts and seeds. Best decision I ever made, no regrets at all.

Good decision on the nuts and seeds. They’re full of toxins - brain fog disappeared for me after I quit nuts. You may do better with more fat. Lean protein converts to glucose and spikes your blood sugar. Eat like your ancestors. Imagine an ice age man trimming the fat off his meat. 😂. You’re adapted to always have animal fat with meat. Eating mostly lean meat is unnatural and unhealthy. Our ancestors were strong and didn’t have rotting teeth unlike post agricultural man. Veggies made us sick and weak.

I will tell my story. I am 52 next month. Since February 21, I have been on an intermittent (6/18) LCHF (low carbohydrates, high fats, moderate proteins). In the last six months, I have changed my eating behavior somewhat on LCHPWF. By increasing the intake of animal proteins and reducing fats. During this time, I got rid of 6 chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreatitis (with steatosis of the pancreas), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, calcifications in the kidneys and male gland, and I no longer need to go to the dentist every year. All periodic problems with blood vessels and muscles have disappeared. The pressure is mostly 115-120/70-75 with a heart rate of 50-55. But in addition to food, I also use nutraceuticals: vitamins, minerals, polyphenols, amino acids. So Doc is right. Adjusting the Randle cycle (switching the production of ATP by mitochondria from glucose to fats) leads to an improvement in health.

According to Barbara O'Neill, alternative health care promoter, 40 years ago total cholesterol value of 300-350 was considered normal. With the introduction of STATINS the recommended cholesterol level was lowered to less than 200 mg/ dL, for most healthy adults 20 and over. The standards were changed. My health question would be about sensitivities. I always knew when I was a child I had issues with dairy and eggs. I knew that because I got a "not good" feeling in my stomach and sometimes felt nauseous whenever I ate those items and (coming from where I came from), it was a necessity to drink milk and eat eggs. I found out when I ate a lot of other foods at the same time it didn't bother me so badly and over the years I got much better at it. I did go vegan for 20 or more years; however trying to do that without eating soy was difficult. I did take a sensitivity test about 3 years ago and it did indicate that I was moderately sensitive to dairy, eggs, coconut, soy and mildly sensitive to six other items; some just barely. That's actually a long-winded way to say. Can you address food sensitivities because in my old age I find that getting enough nutrients is more and more difficult without supplementing too much. I also still live in the mountains and don't often get enough sunlight here. Thank you very much for your channel.

i used to be 155lb at 5'10 when i was young... i peaked at 267 last year. ive been over 200lbs since 2004 but i attributed alot of it to a higher muscle mass... now i just own it. im fat since i quit working that job 10 years ago. alot of my muscle turned to flab. all these years i thought i was eating healthy with the SAD diet.
30lbs to go, and ill be back down to around 200... i can live with that. my ribs are showing at 233. i told my doc what ive been doing. she told me to keep at it.

I would like to use more ghee in the kitchen but I'm not loving that "toasted" flavor that comes from cooking it longer. I've tried to find research on the differences but all I've found are discussions of the differences between ghee and unprocessed butter. Any help appreciated, and thanks again!

Clarfication: I am asking about the *nutritional* differences, if any, between ghee and clarified butter, not any differences in processing. Anyone have any research references?

33:00 well explained and clears up misconceptions of LDL and Cholesterol...My total cholesterol above limit, and HDL is also high, my LDL at the limit but Triglicerdes is below the limit. My doctor just kept saying I have high cholesterol and recommended Statin. I've never taken the prescription and I feel just fine. No sign of short breath nor any unhealthy symptoms. I eat 80% quality keto and home cooked and baked food only. Also play sports 4x a week.

I did it, I stopped sugar and I ate very fatty beef twice a week for 2 years. In France you can easily find quality beef, for example the "limousine" breed or even Irish "hereford" these two types of beef are the best quality, the result on my blood tests is clear, the ratio between LDL and HDL finally became favorable

gr8 video doctor. Haven't watched you in awhile but i love your balance. By eating the way you recommend, you do not feel deprived of anything and you have satiety but most importantly good health. I must say every once in a blue moon I cheat with perhaps a sweet treat like a brownie, but I have no metabolic issues at 62. thank you!
